You don't have self discipline and I know this because I don't either

I judged you and I'm sorry. I'm projecting. It's not you, it's me. I'm the one with no self-discipline, well at least not as much as I want to have. First off, let me just start by saying, IT IS SO HARD EW! Sometimes I wish I could be a ninja in life. Be super serious about everything. Get things done the first time. If someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have to say a 5am girly. Not kidding.

Reflecting on our behaviors and acknowledging our shortcomings is an essential part of personal growth. It takes courage to admit when we have made mistakes or misjudged others, and in doing so, we open ourselves up to self-improvement. I'm at the point in my life now that I don't care if I have to start over 100 times, I refuse to be where I was yesterday! All those small wins add up.

So, I heard a quote that haunts me currently. It says, "The cost of procrastination is the life you could have lived" That one? Humbled me hard. I couldn't stop thinking about it. How simple but true it was. How the words hit me because I resonated with its message and the effects of just that were present with me. A Wake-up call but more than that. For a week I stewed on the quote. How could this be? How could I have let things go so long without addressing things, finishing things, starting things, and ending things? Self-awareness is a hell of an experience. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

This truly served as a stark reminder of the importance of seizing opportunities and taking initiative. It highlighted the repercussions of complacency and the dangers of letting time slip away without making meaningful progress.

Self-discipline is indeed a challenging trait to master, as it requires consistent effort and dedication. The struggle to maintain focus and motivation can be overwhelming at times, leading to moments of self-doubt and frustration. The desire to be more efficient and productive is a common aspiration for many individuals. We often look up to those who seem to effortlessly navigate through life, completing tasks with precision and timeliness. However, it's important to remember that everyone has their own journey and struggles. Comparing ourselves to others can be detrimental to our self-esteem and personal development. Embracing our unique qualities and working towards self-improvement at our own pace is key to finding fulfillment and success. Rather than striving to be someone we are not, it is more beneficial to focus on our strengths and set realistic goals for personal growth. By acknowledging our limitations and actively seeking ways to overcome them, we can cultivate a sense of empowerment and resilience in the face of life's challenges.

Open your eyes now and keep them open.
